Week 1

Hello everybody!
Week 1 is over and I don't now where to start! The week was over, before I noticed it.
I'll start with the project, REACH = Recovery, Employability, Achievement, Challenge and Hope. It's for people who are recovering from anything that has held them back, like substance misuse, mental illness ore physical illness. We started with 11 participants, between the age of 16 and 65. So it's a various group of people, what makes it really interesting.

Claire is the 'mentor' of the participants and my task is to assist her. The project will be on Monday till Thursday, from approximately 9 a.m. till 2.30 p.m..

The priority of this week was creating a good atmosphere in the group, because we will be working intensively with each other, in the upcoming weeks. We ended the week with first aid and everybody got their certificate!

My home: I've 5 flatmates, from Sweden, France, Nigeria, Poland and Scotland. Everybody is very nice and we share the kitchen/living room and bathroom, see pictures. I've been with a couple of them to the fireworks, on the 5th of November. It was Guy Fawkes day/bonfire night. In 1605 was he, Guy, arrested. He wanted to attack the parliamentarian with other members of the Gunpowder Plot. Yesterday there was a bonfire, also to remember people of the events.

RGU: This is the university who will guide me true my work here in Aberdeen. It's a beautiful school, with a lovely view and a big library.

I'm not able to share everything with you, so I'll try to do it like this:

Did you know that:
- They stand in a perfect line, to get in to the bus?
- You don't give the money for the bus ticket to the bus driver, but putt it in a locket cup in front of him?
- The locks the other way around?
- They are jealous on our chocolate sprinkles? ( and I on their habit to put chips/crisps on their bread)
